Pure, natural, unheated and untreated…..the way Mother Nature intended. These Montana sapphires come directly from the mines. Ethically sourced by me personally, Rock Creek and Missouri River sapphires are some of the best in the world, known for their natural color-changing abilities.

The ancient waterways of Rock Creek and the Missouri River in the mountains of central Montana deposited these gemstones over thousands of years. They are found in the alluvial fans along the creek, just under the surface. Sapphires from this region are rare because they are true color-changers. One that is blue or green in the natural sunlight, may be purple, pink, or violet inside. Many of them have fire inside, displaying orange, red and yellow.

These have been faceted by a hard-working single mother as she traveled from California to Oregon where she built herself a cabin in the woods. Samantha Rosenberg is her name and gem-cutting is her game. She is an amazing artist, competitively priced, and her turn-around time is impeccable. Calamity Sam's Jewelry can be trusted with your precious gemstones. Keep it local, USA proud.

These beauties go from our hands to Sam’s hands for cutting, and then directly back to our hands. There is no middle man, there are no unnecessary markups. The stones are not altered in any way other than the faceting. They are not heated, treated, or enhanced. Mother Nature made them beautiful, it’s my job to get them in your hands that way.
